Halloween Obesity Letter a Hoax??

So, a little radio station in the middle of Fargo, ND reportedly found a woman who wrote a letter to children that she felt were obese. It got TONS of media coverage from the Today show to CNN.

What if I told you I thought it was a COMPLETE hoax?? Yes, that is right, I think the lady that "called in" to the radio about that letter was about as real as snuffaluffagus. Want proof?

Werther's Originals Mommy Party!

It is party time! We had a blast sampling Werther's with MommyParties! They sent us a party kit just filled with delicious Werther's originals, and we had a blast creating recipes.

Our favorite BY FAR was the caramel hot chocolate. We NEVER would have thought of adding it, but it was delicious and the kids loved it! We also added it to hot apple cider, which I preferred!

Caramel apples, caramel apple pie, there are so many ways to use caramel this fall! It is one of my favorite Fall flavors!

We thank MommyParties and Werther's for such a fun Fall party! We had a blast and loved all of the Werther's deliciousness!

Aveeno and Johsnon's Baby Wash Cloths

 The boys will be hitting the streets as pirates or monkeys and we just KNOW its going to rain here.  The big boy LOVES to jump in puddles and splash in the streets of our neighborhood.  The gentle care of Aveeno will help me get him clean!

The large bottle of Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo is the BEST deal. The cheapest per ounce but it also lasts a long time. I love that it is tear free for BOTH little men (even my 4 year old doesn't like soapy eyes!) There is a light scent to both products leaving the boys smell clean and fresh--instead of smelling like "outside" as my four year old says!

Fear by L. Ron Hubbard Review

The book Fear, by L. Ron Hubbard, is a dark blending of fantasy and reality that was first published in 1940.  I received this book for review, and I thoroughly enjoyed this tale.  On the one hand, it is a window into a simpler time, and some of the prevailing attitudes of the day; an interesting look into a world gone by.  On the other hand, the book has held up very well over the decades.  It still offers lively and relevant insights into the human mind.  Similarly, you can see the connection in this work’s literary style from the masters of the day, such as Isaac Asimov and Ray Bradbury, into modern horror and fantasy masters like Stephen King.

Fear by L. Ron Hubbard

 

Fear is the tale of Professor James Lowry, and his struggle with his values and reality itself.  This struggle is encapsulated in the loss of his hat and four hours of his life.  He discovers that, should he find his hat and those four hours, his life will end.  However, he is convinced that, if he does not find his four hours, he will lose his sanity.  Fear is fantastical horror which is made all the more horrifying when you discover that there is no fantasy in it.

IBS Free At Last and VSL#3 Review and Giveaway

First, there is a bracelet from TerraCycle and Wakami. Not only is this bracelet made from recycled materials, but it is also made by artisans in Guatemala! What a very cool and very unique gift!

Our favorite item was this coin purse made from USPS mail bags! What a neat gift this would make for anyone that loves to get mail! My daughter thought it was the coolest small bag, and uses it right now for school supplies! It us durable, and a good size for so many different items!

They also have a range of gardening supplies and tools. This recycled plant caddy is perfect for  transporting a large bag of feritlizer or dirt! We have used ours for many things this summer!
