It's Girl Scouts Cookies Time!!!!

Doesn't the title just make you hungry for some!!??!! Girl Scouts USA asked me to help spread the word (for which I was compensated) about Girl Scouts Cookie Weekend, and how could I resist? Girl Scouts USA is one of my favorite organizations AND one of my favorite treats!!! Girl Scout Cookie Weekend starts on February 7th, so make sure to check out their website to find all of the flavors for this year!!!

My favorite are Caramel DeLites, which are actually called Samoas in the South! I never knew that until we moved to the South! Now that we are back in North Dakota, we will be ordering tons of Caramel DeLites again! I also LOVE thin mints. I buy a huge amount of them, freeze them, and use them for baking. They are the perfect item to smash up and add to ice cream, cakes, and other desserts!

My sister was a Girl Scout when she was younger, and I have such good memories of doing many activities with her! She made close connections with her fellow scouts, that last to this day when she is in her early 20s! Girl Scouts taught her so many things from being a good community member and the important of volunteerism, to being sure of herself and having positive self-esteem. Her days at the Girl Scouts overnight camp really allowed her to grow and mature as a person, and I am so glad she was a Girl Scout! This amazing organization has been teaching girls empowerment for over 100 years, and in today's world it is a much needed organization.

Tuesday . . . all about DREAMS!

Do you have any dream plans, vacations, or just items that you could LOVE to have? I have decided that Tuesdays we are going to focus on DREAM items that we REALLY, REALLY want here at MamaBreak. These are impractical at times, but I believe that if you put it out in the world what you want, everything will come back to you in time.

Today I am dreaming about relaxing in this huge soak tub in our master bathroom.We have a very small tub right now, and I have not had a nice, relaxing bath in what seems like ages-- I bet since I lived with my parents!!! I am hoping to one day install a tub like this!!! And if it overlooks a waterfall, well all the better!!!!

This is my tween's clothing chosen by her. In retrospect, letting my daughter and her grandmother choose her clothes by themselves may have been an error after 11 pairs of jeans (no dress pants) and 20 t-shirts (and no long sleeved shirts at all for next winter) and no long sleeved shirts at all.


I bought one size up on all clothes, so this is their Fall wardrobe. I will need to supplement with a few pairs of pants for my toddler, long sleeved tops for my tween, and pants for my son (as I noted in the previous post, pants are hard to come by around here at the re-sale shops).

DO NOT answer calls from a 473 Area Code!

Last night, right before going to bed, a friend had posted an article on Facebook about fraudulent calls being placed to cell phones. I did not even open the store, I just scrolled past it. Then, last night at 3:00 a.m., I got a call from a 473 area code. My first inclination was to return the call, as some areas of Arizona are 480 (and so I thought another area may be 473), and my mother-in-law and father-in-law live there (and are older). Then I remembered reading scrolling past the story, and decided to google the area code first. I am so thankful I did. These are fraudulent calls, and will result in an extremely high charge from your cell phone carrier if you call the number back.



This is a nationwide issue, and myself, my husband, and a work colleague all received calls last night!
