Turn Your Backyard Into A Midsummer Night’s Dream With Glowing Willow Branches

How beautiful is this!

Almost every homeowner wants a great backyard.  The possibilities of what you can do with even a small space are almost endless.  You can grow a potted herb garden on your patio; you can win awards with prize roses; you can purchase a spa; you can build a gazebo; and investing in a barbeque is almost a must.  Designing a memorable backyard for daytime use can be easier than making your backyard special in the dark.  In the summers, evening get-togethers often end when things get too dark.  There are a number of ways to transform your backyard into a “midsummer night’s dream” instead of a space that looks like the setting for the ending of Hamlet (for those unfamiliar with Hamlet, the ending is not pretty).

Ideas for spectacular nighttime outdoor transformation

Look for different types of battery operated tealights.  No one wants to feel like a fugitive under a spotlight when trying to relax outdoors at night.  Instead of blocking the stars, accentuate them.  When a yard is too dark, people risk slip and fall injuries.  Many might be surprised to learn that a simple slip and fall injury can result in serious consequences, including a spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury.  Think of creative ways to light steps and add to the overall nighttime ambiance of your yard.
Lighted branches are a great idea to make your garden pop in the dark.  Similar items are often used for centerpieces, but a vase of lighted branches can make a sheltered part of your yard (i.e. inside a gazebo or under a sturdy overhang) glow.  They will not clash with a garden or overall natural theme.  Instead they will complement existing components in your yard both day and night.
Tube lights can be used to line precarious walkways.  In addition to adding safety, tastefully designed tube lights can also add a year-round aesthetic appeal.  By using non-holiday colors, you can add a dreamy element to steps and walkways in your yard.  Also, the lights do not have to shine like Christmas lights.  Sometimes, a subtle glow can give you the feeling of a dreamy summer night.  Bright, multicolored bulbs can be added in December as usual.

Dreamy lighting for special backyard events

In general, lighting is the best way to transform your yard at night.  Look for lighting that is relatively low-maintenance, will not pose a fire hazard, and will not be an eyesore during the daytime.  No one wants to excuse him or herself from a party to set up the night yard.  Additional lighting can either be used seasonally or only for a special occasion.  Throw a special birthday party or anniversary celebration by investing in spectacular and special decorations.
When hosting a special event, think creative, think classy, and think functional.  Flameless lighting has a number of benefits.  Don’t risk embarrassing one of your guests after a candle falls over and burns a hole in a napkin.  Instead, think about the different ways you can transform your outdoor space.  Invest in special and affordable lighting to make your decorations special.
Whether hosting an engagement dinner or making your backyard more inviting during summer nights, look into different types of battery operated lights.  Make your midsummer night’s dream come true.
