POPSUGAR Must Have Box July 2015 Review & Coupon Code!

Disclosure: This post contains referral links.

POPSUGAR Must Have Box is my FAVORITE subscription box and I am so excited each month when it arrives in the mail! I missed out on the June box because I forgot to update my payment information in time and my subscription was closed. I ended up purchasing the complete box from someone in a subscription swap group (thanks, Divya!), which was a huge relief! I hate missing out on my POPSUGAR Must Have Box!

About the POPSUGAR Must Have Box:
POPSUGAR Editor-in-Chief Lisa Sugar curates a monthly subscription box full of fabulous surprises. The best in fashion, beauty, home, fitness, food and more are delivered straight to your door! The box includes five to six full-size products with a value of over $100 and costs $39.95/month.

Outside of Box:

POPSUGAR Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post. I placed my order for the July box on July 6th and received my tracking number on July 16th. It arrived on July 25th.

First Look:

Second First Look:

As usual, I had already read about the full spoilers, but I still get excited when I see this first peek inside the box!

Information Card:

As you may recall, the inspiration for the July 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box was: Beach Days, Easy Travel, Summer Heat, Fourth of July and Stripes. Here's what came inside the box! I'll start from the beginning of the information card to make it easier to follow along.

Henri Bendel Signature Stripe Canvas Dopp Kit (Retail: $28): This is a great little bag to use for traveling or even for using on the go inside your everyday bag to carry makeup and other essentials. As you can tell, it opens up really wide at the top and has a little bit of structure to it. The white and brown canvas on the outside seems durable. The royal blue label, wristlet strap and matching water-resistant blue liner on the inside are a nice touch. They also included a generic coupon code for 20% off your purchase on their website.

Supergoop Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50 (Retail: $28): I was really excited when I saw this spoiler before the box came out! I just started using a setting spray for my makeup and was happy to get another one to try. I live in Florida, so I was glad to find that this one had SPF in it. Besides setting your makeup and providing sun protection, it also controls oil and shine! I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm sure that I will love it. this is the 3.4 oz bottle.

Sorial Card Case (Retail: $28): I didn't see this item in the spoilers that I read about, so it was a pleasant surprise! At first, I wasn't too sure about the red color because it seems so bold to me, but it will just be going inside your purse so it doesn't really matter. This will hold your ID and a credit card and will fit inside the smallest of clutches! Does anyone remember the blue Sorial clutch that we received in the November 2014 POPSUGAR Must Have Box? This will fit perfectly inside of it! It also came with a generic coupon code for $25 off your purchase on their website.

PopDental Portable Toothbrush (Retail: $19.99): I wasn't too thrilled to receive a toothbrush inside of a subscription box. But I guess I can toss it inside of my travel toiletry case so that it's always packed and ready and I'll be sure to never forget mine!

Yes To Blueberries Cleansing Facial Wipes (Retail: $5.99): I feel like I have a crazy stash of face wipes from all of my subscription boxes! These are always great for late at night when you are too tired to wash your makeup off. Or you can toss them in your gym bag to freshen up after a workout.

The Good Bean Fruit & No-Nut Bar in Chocolate Berry (Retail: $1.99): It's always fun to get a new snack to try in a subscription box! I haven't tried it yet, but you can't go wrong with having chocolate in it.

Special Extra: Hallmark Signature Greeting Cards (Retail: $14.97+): This is a set of three greeting cards and there were several variations sent to subscribers. I love the pineapple print! And the colorful one is actually a wall hanging that can be detached from the card and used as a decoration! How cute is that? I have a stash of greeting cards and note cards and I'm happy to add these to my collection!

All together, I came up with a total value of $126.94 (NOT including the Sorial coupon code) for the July 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box. This was a decent box for me. Not my favorite, but not a disappointment by any means. My favorite items are the Supergoop setting spray, Hallmark greeting cards, Henri Bendel dopp kit and the Sorial card case. The toothbrush and face wipes are practical, but will probably just sit in my travel bag for awhile.

FabFitFun VIP Summer 2015 Box Review & Coupon Code!

Disclosure: This post contains referral links.

After I saw the full spoilers for the Summer 2015 FabFitFun VIP Box, I knew that I HAD to have it!

About the FabFitFun VIP Box:
FabFitFun VIP is a quarterly subscription service that sends you the latest in beauty, wellness, fitness and fashion items each season, hand-picked by the FabFitFun team. Each box is guaranteed to contain $200+ in retail value and costs $49.99.

Outside of Box:

FabFitFun VIP boxes ship via FedEx Smart Post. They were scheduled to ship the week of June 22nd, with annual subscribers being sent out first and then quarterly subscribers being sent out after that. However, I received my box a little bit later because I wasn't subscribed yet. I placed my order on June 27th and my box shipped on June 30th. I received it on July 8th.

First Look:

Second First Look:

I had already seen the full spoilers, but I was still excited to see this full box!

Information Card:

Here's what came in the box! I'll start from the beginning on the information card to make it easier to follow along.

Wren 14Kt Gold and Black Sapphire Necklace (Retail: $100): This came in 6 possible variations. Subscribers either received the horseshoe, heart, or moon charm and they came in both a gold and rose gold finish. Each charm has a tiny sapphire set into it. I received the horseshoe charm in the gold finish. I like the length of the necklace and the size of the charm. It's a simple enough necklace to wear everyday. Personally, I would have preferred to receive the heart or the moon and the horseshoe was my least favorite of the charms. I'm hoping to swap this item for one of the other charms.

The Everyday Wireless Speaker by FabFitFun (Retail: $29.99): This came in either hot pink or turquoise and I received the turquoise one. This is one of my favorite items in the box! I'm so excited to be able to play music from my iPhone while I'm outside with the kids or by the pool!

Inkling Scents Sultry Roll-On Oil Perfume (Retail: $25): I generally cringe when I find out there will be perfume in a subscription box. I am very picky about scents and most of the time, I hate whatever is sent. I was SO excited and pleasantly surprised when I smelled this perfume and LOVED it! It is definitely "sultry" as described. I would probably wear it for a date night or a night out rather than for an everyday perfume. It's described as "a blend of creamy sandalwood, white amber, lotus flower, orchid, Bulgarian rose, and silky vanilla". This was a 1/3 of an ounce bottle. The information card also includes a discount code for their website!

Gorge "I'll Make You Look Amazing" Daily Spray (Retail: $24.95): This leave-in conditioner spray can be used on either damp or dry hair at the end of the day to refresh your look. It has a nice scent and I loved how my hair looked after using it! I sprayed it in damp hair and blow dried it after. I will probably buy more of this when I finish using it all.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss (Retail: $19): This came in several variations and I received "Fearless", which is described as a "shimmering pink coral". I am in LOVE with this lip gloss! I will definitely be buying more when I finish it. It's perfect for layering over other lip products, or even using alone as shown in my picture below.

FabFitFun x CosmoBody Jump Rope (Retail: $14): I received a jump rope in another subscription box last year, so I will probably trade this. I do love that it's pink though!

Scratch Nail Wraps (Retail: $12): I'm just not a fan of nail wraps. I haven't ever tried any, but that's because I just don't have any interest. I almost never even use nail polish. And I don't like this pattern, even if I were to use nail wraps. Going to try to trade these.

Headspace 3-Month Subscription (Retail: $38.85): The information card says that Headspace is an app that takes you through a series of life-changing, guided meditations. It sounds interesting and I might check it out. The gift card is pretty cute!

Hello Konjac Cleansing Sponge (Retail: $12): I've never used one of these before. I've actually never even heard of them until now! I love skincare products so I'm excited to try it out. It says that it gently exfoliates and thoroughly cleanses pores and is an all-natural way to restore the skin and balance your face's pH level. Can't wait to try it!

Sponsored: Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Spray Moisturizer (Retail: $7.99): I've never used a spray on aloe before, so I'm not sure how I will like it. I do live in Florida, but am religious about using sunscreen for myself and my kids, so hopefully I won't ever have to try this out! I'll stash it in the bathroom in case we ever do have a sunburn emergency.

All together, I came up with a total value of $283.78 for this box. There were a few items that I won't use (jump rope, nail wraps, aloe spray), one item that I'm hoping to trade for a different version (necklace), one item that I'm sure I will like once I try it (face sponge), and enough items that I absolutely LOVE (speaker, perfume, daily spray, lip gloss) to make it worthwhile!

What do you think about the FabFitFun VIP Summer 2015 box? Comment below with your favorite item! If you haven't subscribed yet, you can click here and use the coupon code "FFF10" to save $10 off your first box, making it only $39.99! This was a leak, which may be in the UK or may be for the US site. It has not been confirmed yet, but it looks like the deals will come as timed increments. There is also buzz that there may be an across the board savings for everything on the Amazon site. Big sellers on Amazon were asked to send over their sales a while back, so we can expect some third party sales as well.

Deals that have been leaked thus far can be found here.

And Best Buy joins the sale!

It seems EVERYONE wants to celebrate Amazon's birthday. As you probably know, Amazon announced "Prime Day" last week. It will be held tomorrow to celebrate Amazon's birthday. Of course, Walmart did not want to be left out and they announced they will have roll back prices tomorrow as well. Now, Best Buy has announced they too will have a sale, but on the 24th and 25th!

Best Buy Announces Sale

We will be right here tomorrow reporting all the best prices (and back on the 24th/ 25th), compare them to previous prices (to really discover if it is a good deal), and talking about this "July Black Friday." Thank goodness we don't have to get out of our pajamas for this one!

More Prime Day Leaks

This post contains affiliate links.

A new list is circulating the internet, most of the info being reported as "leaks" but most coming from Amazon themselves. Remember, these start TOMORROW!!!! So, let's take a look.

  • K’NEX 2-in-1 Ferris Wheel Building Set (Amazon Exclusive): $35.99 (currently $51.81)
  • K’NEX Crossfire Chaos Roller Coaster Building Set (Amazon Exclusive): $23.99 (currently $30.12)
  • Playskool Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots Optimus Prime Figure (Amazon Exclusive): $9.99 (currently $10.99)
  • 30% off select clothing, shoes, jewelry, watches & more
  • 60% off Amazon Elements Baby Wipes with code ELEMENTS60 . The lowest we have seen is at 50% off (at $5.50)
  • Up to 50% off any of the Harry Potter books (we have seen these go far lower than 50% off)
  • Fire TV Stick: $24-- which would be great, but the lowest it has been is $19 when the first introduced it (I bought it for $19 back at the end of October)
  • Kindle, $30 off (if the linked model, $49).
  • Fire HD 7, $60 off (if the linked model, it would make it $79)-- if it is the edition linked here, it is STILL not the best price AMAZON has had on these.
  • Fire HD 7 Kids Edition, (if linked model, total would be $120) $60 off (close to lowest price we have seen, which was $119)
  • 32-inch LED TV: $75--- We are assuming it is the linked model. Why? Because it was $79 on lightning deals over Black Friday weekend. I guess that is TECHNICALLY a better price with a $4 difference
  • 40-inch 1080p LED TV: $115-- linked model is probably what they will have. Why do we think this? Because it was $115 as well during the holidays.
  • Brand-name 32-inch Smart HDTV: under $200. We assume it is the linked TV, since Amazon has featured that specific television for $197.19
  • 50-inch 4K TV bundle, under $1000
  • Bose headphones at the lowest price ever on Amazon
  • Chromebook laptop, only $199
  • Over 50% off two Nikon COOLPIX cameras
  • Highly rated binoculars, under $120
  • Two security camera-kits, $279.99
  • iRobot Roomba Pet Vacuum Cleaning Robot: under $300. We are assuming it is the 630 they are talking about? Why? Because this is often dropped to $299 on Amazon (we have seen it cheaper at Costco for $229). This IS a decent price, and if it is the 700 series, it is a PHENOMENAL price-- we we believe it is the common price drop we have seen.
  • Husqvarna mower, under $300--- we are watching this model because they have often dropped below $300.
  • 40 lightning deals on DVDs up to 75% off-- If you follow DVDs on Amazon, you know that they have had plenty for $2.99-$3.99, so this is not too much out of the ordinary
  • Save more than 70% on the Divergent Series Complete Box Set of books
  • Save up to 70% on select kitchen products from top brands like Cuisinart, KitchenAid, Foodsaver and Thermos
  • Save up to 50% on select tools for the DIY auto enthusiast
  • Connected Car and Scan Tool products starting at 60% off
  • Road-trip-ready automotive products starting at 50% off
  • Save more than 50% on Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain
  • Free luxury beauty sample box with $50 purchase of luxury beauty products, with promo code LUXSAMPLES
  • tBuy an Amazon.com Gift Card multipack, get $10 in Amazon.com promotional credit
  •  Amazon Echo $129.99 (the initial offer for the Amazon Echo was $99)

What to expect on Prime Day

This post contains affiliate links.

Well the day is fast approaching! Is everyone ready for Wednesday Prime Day?

http://amzn.to/1IVJZ63

Amazon announced last week that they will be holding a sale this Wednesday, for Prime members only,  that will BEAT Black Friday prices (You can get a free 30-day trial membership here).

Walmart had a new announcement this morning:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2015/07/13/walmart-sale-against-amazon-prime-day/29973997/
Walmart will be releasing it's OWN sales this Wednesday as well with over "2000 roll backs." The free shipping minimum will be dropped from $50 to $35, but you can free ship to store, and we are hoping for free in-store deals as well.

The real question is, what kind of prices will they offer? We have heard that we can expect "yard sale prices" on Amazon. Will they be lower than price drops that you can often find at random times on Amazon? We shall see.

We are left with the impression that there will be a scrolling bar, much like the one we find during the holiday season on Amazon (and similar to Gold Box offers now).

We will be bringing you all of the deals we find right here on MamaBreak. Don't have Prime yet? Sign up for a free 30-day trial.
